Description
Purpose of the Job
Promote, optimize and develop a complete range of TRAMWAYS Transport Systems, as far as turnkey / system engineering is concerned, in full accordance to the Systems Platform and Regions strategies, in order to meet the Customer’s needs. The candidate is the Technical Design Authority for Tramway system.

Responsibilities
- Develop attractive and competitive Transport Systems solutions
- Produce innovative and competitive alternatives
- Lead, develop and motivate the direct team and the regional ones
- Support the regions for their tenders and projects in the frame of tramway system engineering
- Produce regular report, giving an overall picture of the section
- Establish and maintain good relationships with regions and other platforms stakeholders
- Participate in the definition and the development of the Engineering Processes, Methods & Tools, and implement them
- Validate the competitive analysis produced by the Project Technical Manager (PTM) and his team
- Validate the technical risk analysis and the main technical choices
- Lead the design reviews on tenders and projects
- Assure technical coherence between different tenders and projects, and maximise the carry-over , taking into account current R&D development
CANDIDATES REQUIREMENTS
Educational Requirements
- Advanced University Degree in Engineering
- Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems.
- 10 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions including at least 5 years in managerial positions in international projects.
- Master Expert or Senior Expert in System Engineering
Experience
- Experience of People Management
- Fluent in English, additional other language would be advantageous
- Wide knowledge of the rail environment and engineering practices, detailed knowledge of at least one
