Description
Purpose of the Job
- Pilot the technical aspects of the Project or Tender
- Represents technically the project, vis-à-vis the customer
- Specify and validate, with the team, the Transport System Solution
- Control the technical consistency through a strong interfaces Management and QCD approach
Organizational Reporting
- Reports to the TGS Turnkey Engineering (Projects & Tenders) Manager
Performance Measurement
1) Based on a QCD approach:
- on-time delivery (adi, dpi)within cost budgetwithin quality targets (RAMS, performances) for the complete turnkey system delivery
- Including:
- System Solutions robustness and performancesProduce attractive and competitive solutionProduce innovative and competitive alternativesCompetitive analysisTechnical risk analysis and mitigation plan

2) System acceptance by customer through Gate Process

Responsibilities
- Develop system acceptance criteria & processes, and have them agreed upon by Customer
- Choose the hypotheses for performance calculations and validate the results
- Issue the Customer Requirements Specification
- Issue the Functional Specification
- Issue the Systems Architecture
- Issue the Preliminary and Final Designs
- Propose the Engineering Scope of Work to the Project or Tender Manager; define the Work Packages for the Systems Engineering team and for the participating Operations Products lines (first level), produce them with his team for Systems Engineering.
- Manage technical relationship with the Consortium
- In relationship with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager, manages the integration and validation activitiesLead, develop and motivate the Engineering Project / Tender teamImplement the Methods and Engineering tools as per agreed recommendations
- Issue the technical risks assessment & mitigation
- Implement & Control the compliance & traceability matrix
- Ensure the carry-over from previous projects and current R&Ds
- Produce the “GA 008” relative to the Engineering
- Participate in reviews defined by the PMM
- Support the Project Manager
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Educational Requirements
- Master's Degree in Engineering
Experience
- Broad Knowledge of railway systems, operating requirements, available equipment and systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in Engineering / Technical functions including at least 3 years in managerial positions in international projects
- Expert in System Engineering
